Silverball Studios Pro Pinball was a series of four games, one table each that were released in the late 90's. The tables were and still are highly regarded. Graphically the tables look great even by today's standards, and the physics are regarded by many as the best ever made in a pinball simulation.

Silverball recently ran a failed Kickstarter campaign to fund hd recreations of the original four tables plus the creation of a new table deigned by legendary pinball designer Pat Lawlor. Although the fundraising campaign has failed, Silverball have committed to continue this project. Of interest is Silverball's intentions of releasing on the PC platform FIRST, and supporting full screen rotated play. Here is a link to the kickstarter page which contains a lot of interesting info including high res renders, lighting demos, and a real world recreation of one of their pins as a real pinball machine:

Here is a photo of the real world recreation of Silverball's digital table Pro Pinball: Timeshock. They say it is very much a work in progress.

this kickstarter thing has really become shit. I remember a time when we paid for games after they were released, not before.

I'm ok with the kickstarter program to get an entirely new business off the ground such as with Pro Pinball, but it pisses me off how TPA uses it to fund all of their dev costs on new tables. I'm apparently a complete minority on this one as I usually get shit about it when I post my opinion.

    Hello,

There is an interesting article on Redbull about the Pro Pinball Revival failed kickstarter and what the team intends to do next to bring Pro Pinball back:
